Namibian Eagles Soar to Historic Victory – And Almar Was There to Witness It.

There are moments in sport that transcend the scoreboard – moments that unite a nation, rewrite history books, and remind us why we love the game.

Last weekend at the brand new FNB Namibia Cricket Ground, we witnessed exactly that.

In front of a roaring home crowd, the Namibian Eagles achieved what many thought impossible: a stunning 4 wicket victory over the South African Proteas in T20I cricket.   It wasn’t just any win – it was Namibia’s first-ever T20I triumph against their southern neighbours, a result that will be talked about in Namibian cricket circles for generations to come.

Almar - Proud to Play Our Part

For us at Almar Namibia, being official sponsors and Stadium Partners of the all new FNB Namibia Cricket Ground means more than just having our name on display.   It’s about being part of the community, supporting the dreams of our nation’s athletes and contributing to moments like these.

More Than Just a Game

What struck us most about the day wasn’t just the result – though that was pretty spectacular – it was the sense of pride and possibility that filled the air.   This is what sport does at its best:  it brings people together, it inspires the next generation and it shows that with determination and support, extraordinary things are possible.

To the Namibian Eagles: congratulations on a victory that will inspire young cricketers across our nation.

To Cricket Namibia: thank you for your vision and dedication to growing the sport we love.

And to every fan who packed the stands and cheered until they were hoarse: this moment belonged to you too.

Here’s to many more historic days at the FNB Namibia Cricket Ground.

We’re honoured to be part of the journey.

Go Eagles!
